Assignment #6 - Polar Opposites

I take this picture because I want to show the opposite of water or ice and fire. When I am taking the water picture, I put the glass of water on the black marble table to make difference from the white wall. And I also drop ice into water to make this photo has motion, and also water and ice can both be the opposite of fire. When I am taking the fire photo, I try to take a photo of burning match but that does not show well so I try to take photo of the aromatherapy and use a stone in the back to make the fire more clear to see. That looks better than the match photo. Before I put these two picture into lightroom, the water picture has some color but I think water is something that may make people feel cold so I make that into black and white to emphasize water and ice in the water. For the fire picture, I make the background lighter and make the darker place more darker like the black glass. I make the fire lighter and the shade show on the glass like a little sun. The water photo is in cold color and the fire photo is in warm color, that is also a opposite in color.

Assignment #7 - What color are you?

This is a T-shirt of mine and I took it in front of my house. Blue is my favourite color and this color is a cool color. Blue is a fresh color and this color can make people feel calm and when I feel more comfortable to stay in a cool color than a warm color. I am not a outgoing person so blue is a symbol of my characters. The T-shirt is blue and white, and the back also has little blue, so the front match the back.

Assignment #5 Texture 101

                                                                1/160 sec; f/7.1; ISO 100

                                                               1/160 sec; f/7.1; ISO 2500

This photo is by Buckaroo kid and is kind of Graffiti texture. When I first saw this photo, I like it because it is new to me when I think about texture.  The graffiti looks disorganized but when you see this again, you will feel stressless.

Assignment #4: How DOES a great photographer create great composition?

ISO 8000,  f'/5.0, 1/160 sec       Rule of thirds

                                              ISO 5600, f/5.0, 1/160 sec      Leading lines
I shoot this picture in the photography room and I like the feeling of this picture.
The wall close to me is dark and to the end of the road is light.
The light in the back room is the only light that become a point.

ISO 100, f/9, 1/160 sec             Leave negative space
This picture I shoot in Bay Area, it is 5 sea mews fly across the sky.
Because the 5 flying sea sews are the only thing you can see in this picture,
                                                                   they catch people eyes.
I think this picture can make people feel peaceful.

                                                  ISO 6400, f/8, 1/160 sec       Texture

ISO 450, f/5.0, 1/200 sec        Simplicity and Minimalism
I took this picture in my home and it is the light in my bathroom.                                           I took half of the light and let the shade also in this picture.
The back is an angle so the light and its shade looks more simplicity.
